Anthro Summer 2009. Research project. Submitted: 6-19-09.
The teacher's note: David was one of my favorite students in 2009. With his Summer class we visited the University of Utah and I tried to have convinced him to think even to
continue after his bachelor degree, but he was steady in his opinion that hated everything that ended with "-logy". However, I am sure he will do in future a great job with his
International Culinary School degree from The Art Institute of Salt Lake City and everybody will love David in way we loved him in our class and as we can see below like his
wife and family.
A VIEW ON LIFE
David: How do you feel about marriage?
Sarah: Marriage is a way of showing someone that you really love him/her, I know you can show someone that you love him/her just
by being with together, but this is a life-long bond that two people want to create for each other.
David: What makes you happy?
Sarah: Being with my kids and my husband. Having the same understanding as my husband. Staying at home and doing something
simple like watch a movie or playing with the boys. Seeing my kids happy and healthy.
David: What is the main source of stress?
Sarah: My job, I hate my job, it keeps my away from my family. I get so frustrated at work and sometimes that frustration comes home
with me.
David: How do you take care of the stress?
Sarah: I remember why I am there…..my family.
David: Do you believe people should stay married?
Sarah: “Yeah“ Unless something bad occurs…yeah, I believe people should stay married.
David: Why should people stay married?
Sarah: There is a reason why people get married in the first place. You made promises and devoted your life to each other. If you
were not serious about getting married, you should not have said the I do’s in the first place. If you truly love someone you should
try to work things out if a problem arises.
David: Do you feel like your children have been changing you?
Sarah: Yes. They have made me more responsible. The reasons I do most things in life is for them. They make my life worth wile.
Makes me think about my childhood and how I treated my parents…I guess it makes me more grateful. Their future is in my hands.
David. How do your children help you in life?
Sarah: All I have to say is that they bring me happiness and I could not imagine my life without them.
David: How do you feel about your husband going to school?
Sarah: I think it’s great. I think he’s finally doing something that he wants to do, not something that he feels that he has to provide
for us. I believe that our future will be a lot more promising.
David: How did you feel about this interview?
Sarah: It was a little weird having my husband ask me these questions (laughs)
